How the curriculum runs across the 4 weeks

The course opens with a single Saturday session, runs live Monday/Wednesday/Friday through the two weeks in between, and closes with a second Saturday. Here's what each part of that arc covers. (Weekend Track trainees cover this identical curriculum, in the same order, with the same live instructor — just delivered across Saturday + Sunday sessions instead of Monday/Wednesday/Friday.)

1 Opening Session — orientation, what access risk is, the SAP landscape, Group 1 WEEK 1 · SATURDAY
Opens cold on Book 1 — a ruleset that's shown near-zero violations for three straight quarters, and why that's not necessarily good news. Covers what access risk actually is (SoD, functions and risks, the mitigation lifecycle), a survey of the SAP landscape (ECC vs. S/4HANA, GRC Access Control, Fiori), Calder Ridge and its cast, the reasoning method taught once and used every session after, and a preview of Group 1 — Access Risk Analysis, Emergency Access, Role Design, MSMP Workflow.
  • Planning Card exercise — Book 1, in breakout rooms
2 Group 1 — Access Risk, Emergency Access, Role Design & Workflow LIVE WEEKS · THEORY
Reasons through all four Group 1 books on paper before touching SAP: Book 1 (The Ruleset That Went Quiet), Book 2 (The Shared Login — individual assignment vs. shared Firefighter use), Book 3 (The Split That Closed a Door — authorization-object-level role design), and Book 4 (The Approval Nobody Sent — MSMP escalation vs. auto-approval). Introduces the Course Guide's read-before-you-build structure.
  • Planning Card exercise — Book 2 or 3
3 Group 2 — Provisioning, SU24, Remediation & Fiori Security LIVE WEEKS · THEORY
Reasons through all four Group 2 books: Book 5 (Copied From Someone Else — reference-user access drift), Book 6 (The Proposal Nobody Updated — SU24 defaults), Book 7 (Resolved on the Report — mitigation without evidence), and Book 8 (The Tile That Opened Everything — Fiori space vs. backend authorization). Introduces the lab-conclusion standard you'll be graded on.
  • Planning Card exercise — Book 6 or 7
4 Group 1 hands-on — Access Risk Analysis, Emergency Access & Role Design LIVE WEEKS · SAP LAB
First hour: the facilitator builds the fix end to end in a live SAP system — Book 1 (GRAC_SPM, function maintenance), Book 2 (Firefighter Log Report, individual assignment), Book 3 (PFCG, authorization-object tracing). Second hour: you build the same fixes yourself, in your own ZZ_TRAIN_ practice namespace.
Due before the next session: Lab deliverable — Book 3, The Split That Closed a Door
5 Group 1 continued & Group 2 begins — Workflow, Provisioning, SU24 LIVE WEEKS · SAP LAB
Lab feedback, then three builds demonstrated and run: Book 4 (MSMP stage configuration, escalation redesign), Book 5 (Access Request reference-user validation), Book 6 (SU24 default maintenance). Second hour, you drive.
Due before the next session: Lab deliverable — Book 4, The Approval Nobody Sent
6 Group 2 hands-on — SoD Remediation & Fiori Catalog Security LIVE WEEKS · SAP LAB
Lab feedback, then Book 7 (mitigation evidence-requirement design) and Book 8 (Fiori Launchpad Designer, space-to-role mapping). Second hour, you drive.
Due within one week: Lab deliverable — Book 8, The Tile That Opened Everything
– Continued live sessions — remaining live week LIVE WEEKS · EXTENDED PRACTICE
The live class runs Monday/Wednesday/Friday across two weeks in total; the sessions above cover the core theory and hands-on lab curriculum. The remaining live session extends practice across all eight labs and retests anything a facilitator flags for another pass — full session topics for this will be published as the syllabus is finalized.
8 Closing Session — assessment review, what you can now do, what's next WEEK 4 · SATURDAY
Course wrap-up: how you're assessed, the things you can now do that you couldn't four weeks ago, and what comes next.

What to read, and when

"Read in full" means once, properly, without your phone. "Skim the summaries" means the one-paragraph version, so the name means something when it comes up in session.
